I grew up in a small town with constant financial hardships and personal challenges. The weight of poverty felt like I was constantly treading water, and the relentless fight to break free from its grip was just a dream. To make matters more complex, my mother died in a car accident when I was the age of 2, and my father was not involved in my life. The odds were stacked against me. Despite these challenging circumstances, I never lost sight of doing something more with my life.
Before going to law school, I worked in furniture manufacturing, fast food, serving tables, teaching young children English, and stocking shelves in a grocery store. I've worked 6 days in a row and sometimes 65+ hours a week. I've always been a hard worker.
As the years passed, I dreamt of attending law school. During one pivotal moment of reflection, I decided to pursue that long-held aspiration. My husband, kids, and I decided to relocate to Oregon, a state we had always dreamed of living in and began turning my law school dreams into a reality.
Fast forward to today, I have been admitted to Oregon's state and federal courts. I've opened my law firm to help others navigate the legal system.
My personal experience with life's struggles has fueled my commitment to protecting those dealing with the legal system. I approach each case with empathy, resilience, and determination, driven by a deep understanding of what it feels like to fight for justice in the face of adversity.
